Station ID's (station identifications): The standard "This is ____ from ____ and you're listening to FatCat Radio". Frankly I find those boring and unoriginal. Use some creativity and do something a bit different. Something that shows some personality. (I REALLY like those).
Song Intros: Pick a song and introduce it. Example - This is Angus Young of AC/DC. This next song is all about life on the road and it's called 'Highway To Hell'.
Promos: Plug whatever it is you want to plug. Upcoming gigs, cd for sale, a new website etc.
At a loss? You can never go wrong with a simple "Click on the Cat". If you want to record multiple spots I suggest calling the FatCat Phone (206-337-0228) & recording one long message. Just leave a gap in between. I'll clean 'em up & ready 'em for broadcast.
BANDS: Make sure you mention your website. LISTENERS: Be sure to give your location. Try to keep all promos less than 30 seconds. Remember...bands that provide station ids, song intros, other promos, etc tend to get more airplay. THANKS IN ADVANCE EVERYONE!!!
