Thirty 2 Life has been a part of FatCat Radio since they formed in 2003. While I never got the chance to see the band live, never personally met Michael or the rest of the guys, news of his death hit me pretty hard.
I've long admired his attitude towards music and how much he overcame in order to continue making it & entertaining the T2L 'cell-mates'. Of course I appreciated the music, the BIG Show theme song he recorded, all the promotion he did for the station. But most of all I appreciated the words of encouragement he had for me a few years back when I was coming to terms with my Dad's serious (and ultimately victorious) bout with the Big C. Best wishes to all who knew and cared for Michael. The music shall live on...and Thirty 2 Life will always have a home here on FatCat Radio.
