VIDEO: The BEST guitar ever made !!!

I may be a tad biased but c'mon...that is AWESOME!

Seriously, how $*#&! cool is that?!?!?! The beautiful one of a kind guitar featured in the above video was hand made and custom painted by Jason Farthing from Smokin' lil' Sound Box. I've been admiring Jason's art since adding his band The Budrows to the FatCat playlist last year. His band is a testament to the great sound you can get out cigar box guitars - something that has long intrigued me. A couple weeks ago I contacted Jason to inquire about commissioning a custom FatCat acoustic. We tossed around a couple of ideas and well... you can see the results in action above! THANK YOU JASON !!!

Expect lots more photos / showing off when I get my hands on the FatCat Radio cigar box guitar. I'll never be able to make it sound that good but it's gonna be fun to try. PLEASE do me a favor and visit www.soundboxguitars.com if you're interested in learning more about Jason's custom playable art. I also highly recommend The Budrow's debut 100% Foot Stompin' Cigar Box Rock N' Roll - one of my favorite albums of 2011. Currently available as a 'name your own price' deal at their website.

Anyway, this is great - hope all 's good and look forward to a video of ya putting the Fat Cat box through it's paces.
    Cheers!

    1. Dave - I have no doubt you'll be able to make a cigar box guitar sing! I wouldn't hold your breath on yours truly shooting a video fumbling, bumbling, and stumbling around on mine but I can't wait to get my hands on it.

    1. Well this particular one has 4 strings. Meant to be played in open tuning. Beyond that... I'm not sure as Ive got a big learning curve ahead of me.
